Girls Inc. Fight Like A Girl Classes – Speaking and Book Signing Appearance, Oakland, California
Leah Goldstein will be speaking and holding “Fight Like A Girl” classes with Girls Inc. groups on October 5th – 7th. Leah speaks frequently to youth across all ages, genders and circumstances, from homeless youth to elementary students and those branching out after high school. She also speaks to the youth participating in the Boys and Girls Clubs here in Canada. Her passion to encourage youth to live their lives without limits is widely received and her stories are modified and appropriate for her audiences and are enjoyed by all ages. Leah draws from her lifetime of experiences and loves to meet and chat with youth after her presentations.
The Girls Inc. Fight Like a Girl Classes details are as follows:
October 5th: Girls Center “Fight Like a Girl” Classes (4-5pm and 5-6pm) .
Location: Each class will gather in the Girls Resource Center. Classes will ideally be outside in Frank Ogawa Plaza in front of City Hall (pending weather).

Estimated number of Girls: 15 in each class
Age Range: 13-18
Book Signing at Laurel Book Store across from Frank Ogawa Plaza 6pm – 7pm

October 6th: Girls Center “Fight Like a Girl” Part 2 Classes (4-5 and 5-6pm in Frank Ogawa Plaza)

Estimated number of Girls: 25 girls in 4-5 class and 35 girls in 5-6 class
Age Range: 13-18
October 7th: WOW! Wilson Elementary School ( 1300 Williams St, San Leandro, CA 94577) “Fight Like a Girl” Classes for 4th/5th Grade (2:30-3:15 and 3:15-3:40)
Staff Leads: Naomi Finkelstein and Kourtney Andrada
Esimated Number of Girls: 20 girls in each class
Age Range: 9-11 years old
